Furry festivities: Broomfield Hall’s Animal Unit to host Christmas-themed event

A special festive event is being hosted at Derby College Group’s (ÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳) Broomfield Hall, on Sunday 3rdÌýDecember 2023, 11am – 3pm.Ìý Ìý

It promises to be a great seasonal experience for families, animal lovers, and the community as a whole.ÌýÌý

Come along and embrace the holiday spirit by spending a joyful time surrounded by our beloved animal friends. Ìý

The Christmas-themed Animal Unit Open Event will feature a range of delightful activities, including animal handling and feeding, charity stalls, children’s crafts, refreshments and an opportunity to learn about the animal-related courses that are delivered at Broomfield.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet some of Broomfield’s dedicated team, learn about animal care, and enjoy the enchanting atmosphere of our specially decorated facility.

Visitors will be amazed by the sheer array of animals including meerkats, porcupines, wallabies, reptiles, donkeys, pigs, goats, alpacas, rodents, rabbits, guinea pigs and fish.

Jonathan Taylor, Animal Unit Co-ordinator, said of the upcoming event:Ìý

“We are excited to open our doors for this special Christmas-themed event, bringing joy to both our animal residents and the community. Ìý

“This is a great chance for families to connect with and appreciate the incredible animals that are cared for at Broomfield.”

All money raised on the day will go to support the wonderful animals at the College.
